The Secure Neighborhood’s Program is one of APF’s most important initiatives and its primary goal is to improve neighborhood security within Atlanta. The program accomplishes this goal by providing unique and affordable pathways to in-city residency for participating first responders. Through our rental and home ownership offerings, qualified personnel are selected to serve as neighborhood ambassadors for the purpose of crime deterrence, community engagement and relationship building. We believe that neighborly engagement between police, fire and corrections personnel and those they serve strengthens the bonds between them and consequently improves community safety and department culture.
